The FileReader and FileSystem APIs are currently supported.

I've tried to run a basic example from:

http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/filesystem/

It works but all files disappear after restarting the app. Even if I set settings.cache_path, it doesn't help. Any ideas?

Persistence of FileAPI data is likely not implemented. Please create an issue in the CEF issue tracker.

Also, this NPAPI plugin may be helpful.

Great work on CEF!
Was the issue created already? Fixed?
If not, any information on when persistent FileSystem API will be implemented in CEF? Currently it creates a temporary folder each time requested, even by the same HTML and same domain, so I do get an empty file system each time, even though I stored some files the previous time.
Thanks!
