Can we have both ShowDevTools and GetDevToolsURL?

With the change to ShowDevTools vs GetDevToolsURL, I'm running into a problem. I was previously making use of the external access to the Dev debugging port, and now cannot do this. The dev tools are now being launched in the same javascript context/process, which means I cannot use some of the tools (e.g. Heap Snapshot) because of the high memory usage of the content initially, plus the overhead of the snapshot, is just too high and it crashes.

Is it possible that GetDevToolsURL will be added back/made available again in future?

I figure I can probably re-add it to my own build, and probably will do so in the near future, but it is a useful feature (as in ShowDevTools) that I'd appreciate being available again in general.
