CEF: Why does the OS X build have helper apps ?

Postby awieser » Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:39 pm

Hi,

I am little confused as to why there are 3 different helper apps + the main app on OS X, is it not possible to restart the same bundle multiple times as it is done on Windows?

Regards
Alex

Figured this out myself, on Mac OS X it's one instance only, hallelujah!

To expand: the sub-processes need a different Info.plist so that they don't show a dock icon. The 3 helper apps have different executable attributes. See the target that creates them in cef.gyp for more info.
