crashpad / Linux

Postby Zabrimus » Sat Jul 29, 2023 4:53 pm

Hello,

i'm trying to use crashpad with a cef-based application on Linux. I've created a crash_reporter.cfg file next to the application with the following content
Code: Select all
[Config]
# ServerURL=http://localhost:8080/
RateLimitEnabled=false
MaxUploadsPerDay=0

[CrashKeys]

It doesn't matter if a uncomment ServerURL or set it to an empty value and if the crash_server.py has been started or not. The application always immediately stops with the following error message
[0729/233940.059901:ERROR:socket.cc(120)] recvmsg: Die Verbindung wurde vom Kommunikationspartner zurückgesetzt (104)
[0729/233940.060178:FATAL:crashpad_linux.cc(214)] Check failed: client.StartHandler(handler_path, *database_path, metrics_path, url, annotations, arguments, false, false).

I have no idea anymore. If i remove or rename the crash_reporter.cfg, then the application starts as usual. It seems i missed some fundemental configuration or parameter or ... i don't know.

Exists there a chance to enable crashpad?

Thanks in advance
