Prebuilt Binaries Throw Windows 'Entry Point Not Found'

Postby Skavenger » Thu Nov 07, 2019 4:51 am

Hi,

I'm in the process of upgrading which version of CEF we use. (Currently v51) and have decided to switch to using prebuilt dll/libs from http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/index.html (instead of building CEF ourselves everytime). However we have run into issues when running our application.

For example when we launch we always get 'Entry Point Not Found'. However it differs depending on version we use..
* V78 we get 'cef_is_cert_status_minor_error'
* V77 we get 'cef_get_geolocation'

We have tried multiple versions from the site but every version (and minor version) seem to throw the above errors (we also don't want to jump back too many release versions as it negates the point of upgrading)

Notes:
* We use libcef_dll_wrapper
* V78 doesn't seem to have the missing function but V77 does in the wrapper code
* V77 also doesn't seem to have its missing function.

Any thoughts or advice would be welcome on where to look or if there is a recommended prebuilt 'stable' version that is wiser to grab.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you're mixing different versions of dll / lib / header files. Make sure you update all these files when updating to new release.
