No built-in pdf support/viewer under windows?

Postby edominic » Fri Jul 24, 2015 10:31 am

Is it possible, that there is no pdf viewer with jcef for windows?
I need to display a pdf file in a new browser window, but I only get download-prompt.

A PDF viewer has been implemented in https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/cef/issues/1565. It will be available in JCEF after JCEF updates to a CEF version that provides it.

Thanks for information :)
I think, it will take some time, till you update jcef to latest cef. So, how I can add pdf support till update? Maybe a third party extension (for commercial use, free)?
At the moment, the pdf document will be downloaded and then opened in OS specific viewer.
