Hi all,

I was thinking, there is so much going on CEF Forum.
So, many questions and activities.

Why don't we start a StackExchange site through Area51?
http://area51.stackexchange.com/

I know, it requires a lot of work and dedication and a lot of dedicated people.
To launch a stack exhange site out of beta.

May be it's too early to launch it now.

But, I am just putting a proposal. We can think to launch it later.
When there is more people and activities around CEF?

What do you say about it?

I think that for a site to get accepeted on stackexchange you need a big user base like 50-100k. For CEF there are a few thousands of devs (1174 registered on this forum), so I don't think this is enough. I am not aware of a stackexchange site that is devoted to a narrow subject such as specific framework/library, it probably needs to be a much more broader topic.

Most of the answers on these forums are provided by Marshall and I don't think it would be different on that Q&A site. I can already see Marshall with 49,999 reputation and 451 badges :-) I would probably be second on the podium:

memberlist.php?mode=&sk=d&sd=d#memberlist

With Dmitry coming just after me ;-)

What is the advantage of being a stackexchange site?

Yes, a stackexchange site will need a lot of users to get it out from beta phase.
But not 50-100k.

By Area51, which is the staging area for new proposals. A good user base can convert a proposal to stack exchange site with combined effort.

No, there are many stackexhange sites, who are based on some framework/library. But yes, they have a very large user base.

I am not a stage to give the advantages. But, It may provide new users and CEF itself some benefit in near future.

Anyway, A stackexhange site for CEF would be nice. I think, it's too early for it.
I was just throwing a thought/idea.
