Getting Error -105 when using an ipv6 literal address

Postby awkwardken » Fri Jan 16, 2015 3:31 pm

Hello,

I'm just starting out with CEF so this might be a newbie question.

I'm developing an application that accesses a site using an ipv6 address (e.g., https://[fd25:1bfd:6541:6dc3:52f1:ede6:3cea:fa83]:1234/)

Using the cefclient and cefsimple apps this results in "Failed to load URL https://[fd25:1bfd:6541:6dc3:52f1:ede6:3cea:fa83]:2708/ with error (-105)"

I've tried running each of these apps with --enable-ipv6, but it did not improve things.

I also tried using Chrome on Windows and it worked fine.

On Chrome on Mac, it failed with the same error, but then succeeded when I ran with --enable-ipv6.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I can try to solve this? It seems like CEF is not properly recognizing the address as an ipv6 literal and trying to resolve it via DNS.

Thanks,
Andy

The enable-ipv6/disable-ipv6 flags are not currently supported by CEF. Feel free to add an issue in the issue tracker. Here's the chrome/ implementation for reference: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/code ... d.cc&l=174
