Support for .net CoreCLR

Postby markentingh » Sun Feb 07, 2016 2:36 pm

I'm developing a web app using ASP.net Core 1.0 (previously known as ASP.net 5.0), and I need to use a headless web browser to download & render web pages before processing them. CEF is the best choice out there. I've tried using PhantomJS, but it works sporadically, Selenium is too complicated and bloated to use, and so I've turned to CEF. The problem I am having now is being able to include CEF in my project, since it only supports "dnxcore50".

Is the dev team working on porting CEF to .net Core CLR any time soon?

The core CEF project is C/C++ only. You'll want to ask on a forum for your .net wrapper of choice (CefGlue, CefSharp, etc).
