cefclient --enable-media-stream not allowed microphone

Postby ateyhrib » Thu Dec 07, 2017 12:22 am

Hi
I've faced with the problem that on one windows machine cefclient, which I got from http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/index.html can't get access to microphone
Same results for comand line "cefclient.exe --enable-media-stream" and "cefclient.exe --enable-media-stream=1"
Google Chrome on the same machine and same user works fine.

Please help me to clarify the issue.
What can be wrong? And how can I debug the issue? What additional information I should provide?

Does the machine have multiple microphones? You might need to configure the source via JavaScript. See https://simpl.info/getusermedia/sources/ for an example.

Thank you for reply.
I disabled all mics except one, but with no luck.

Hi, still facing the issue.
Tried to use admin account to run cefclient - same trouble
List of sources shows 2 additional mics. But in chrome it also shows 2 additional mics and everything is ok.
What the difference between chrome and cefclient in this case?

Just for record.
Issue was connected with highly restricted policy of Kaspersky Internet security (which was active even when KIS was "disabled"). And it was solved when cefclient was added to permited applications list.
