Win SDK version 10.0.14393

Postby gigi777 » Mon Oct 02, 2017 8:41 pm

Hi,

My cefsimple application includes a few other libraries that do not compile in debug configuration with Win 10.0.14393 SDK due to this issue: https://github.com/dotnet/coreclr/issues/6642. Since CEF 3071 onwards requires Win 14393 SDK, I am unable to build the debug configuration and hence do any substantial development with the CEF updates. So the questions I have are:
1. Has anybody have any workaround for this issue? FYI, the workaround suggested in the link don't work - the preview Win SDK libs are not available at the links.
2. What is the plan for CEF to start using a later Win SDK version.

Thanks.

The 14393 SDK is only required when building CEF/Chromium. You can use a different SDK version with apps that use the binary distribution.

I am rebuilding CEF with some changes to Skia. Since I am not taking the binary distribution, I have to rebuild my application with Win 14393 version.

You can make a binary distribution from your custom CEF build.
