DEPS.patch, if it exists, is applied by automate-git.py before running gclient sync.

I too am having this trouble linking builds.

I have uploaded a Dockerfile which can reproduce the steps and the resulting error: https://github.com/oursland/docker-cef-build

I'm experiencing the same linking problem after following the Master Build and Quick Start instructions.

I've created a Dockerfile to reproduce the issue as well as a short log demonstrating the failure on https://github.com/oursland/docker-cef-build.

As seen on the Dockerfile, Line 17, the --branch and --force-update are both passed to automate-git.py. https://github.com/oursland/docker-cef-build/blob/master/Dockerfile#L17

Any suggestion on what else I may try?

See viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15144#p34901 for a possible fix.
