Provisional headers are shown

Postby aipx » Thu Aug 11, 2016 12:11 pm

Any requests for http/https protocols are not displayed request headers in the debugger. But go to the server correctly.

Displays only if the protocol "wss/ws" is used.

Hello Marshall,

I confirmed the bug is still present in latest version (3.2987.1597)
I created one issue on bitbucket here: https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/ ... rovisional

Thanks in advance to take a look, it should be one easy fix as full headers are correctly sent to server :)

Cheers,
RCK

Hi

Any news about this?

I´m stuck with this "Provisional headers are shown". Is there any way to do some workaround this problem?

Hello guys !

We got a regression here, as the bug "Provisional headers are shown" has come back since CEF 94

I'm sniffing the redirection from http://www.magpcss.org/ceforum/ to https://www.magpcss.org/ceforum/

With CEF 93, There is no problem :
  • I can see the request and response headers of the http 301 redirection
  • I can see the request and response headers of the https 200 ok from https://www.magpcss.org/ceforum/ (with set-cookies, see screenshot1_cef93_ok.png)

Since CEF94, I got no into for the https request :
  • I can see the request and response headers of the http 301 redirection
  • I can no more see the request headers (Provisional headers are shown) and the response header is just empty (no cookie, no data, see screenshot2_cef94_err.png)

The bug is still present in CEF95, CEF96 and latest CEF97 :!:
@magreenblatt: Do you know who to contact to try to fix this ?

Thanks !

How does it behave in Google Chrome at the same version?

Good question !

I just remade the test with Chrome/97.0.4692.99 vs cef_binary_97.1.9+ga00bca5+chromium-97.0.4692.99:
and the problem:
- is present in CEF 97
- is not present in Chrome 97

Please see attached screenshot :)

Please add a new bug. You can also test "--disable-request-handling-for-testing" and/or "--enable-chrome-runtime" to see if that helps.
