Handling getUserMedia Deprecation On Insecure Origins

Postby khouse » Tue Feb 02, 2016 3:33 pm

Since JCEF has been updated to use Chromium 47 (thanks so much for all the work updating to a new version!!!), getUserMedia is deprecated on insecure origins.

Typically I can start Chromium with the combination of the "unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=http://my.domain" flag and the "user-data-dir=path\to\data\dir" flag and I am then able to use getUserMedia on the insecure origin I specify.

Testing in JCEF today, these flags do not seem to enable getUserMedia. I was wondering if this was not possible using JCEF or if there is a different way to apply the flags from the usual addSwitchWithValue() function.

Thanks so much,
khouse

unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure is not implemented in CEF.
