winforms demo is slow

i ran the winforms demo and the browser is somewhat unresponsive/slow. not unusable, but noticeably slower. is this expected, i.e. performance is simply not very good in general for CEF and/or bindings (as compared with modern browsers), or is it demo-related? thanks. i'm using branch 2623.

Have you tried a newer version?
Are you sure it's not your environment? Have you tried on different hardware? Do you have an Intel Graphics card? If so disable `GPU` acceleration. Are you using the latest graphics drivers?
Open `chrome://gpu/` in `Chrome` and see what it says about your machine.

...and use CEF release build, instead of debug build.
