Confused noob

I'm sorry if I post in wrong section.

In searching for a way to embed chrome into a gui and have access to navigational functionality as well as DOM, I found this place.

I am unsure however it is what I'm looking for, and my question is this. Can this CEF be used like a com object, or can it be compiled as such, in order to use it in a scripting language as I might an internet explorer object (webbrowser object)?

CEF is not a COM object. However, the API is easy to use and there are third-party wrapper projects that provide bindings for .Net, python, java, etc. See the project main page for links to wrappers or the cefclient application for sample usage in C++.
